He Did It

That sound.

The only sound you can hear.

The sound of your ribs,

cracked down,

and now you can’t breathe.

Your heart is splitting on the ground.

You can’t stop it.

Because you just broke its cages.

And everyone thought it was a suicide.

Now the things you can do are,

laying on the floor,

with mascara running down on your face,

gasping for air,


He said he wouldn’t hurt you.

But that night,

he killed you.
